Marie "Rose" Pontbriand

Rose,
a daughter, a sister, a wife,a mother, an aunt, a GODMOTHER, a grandmother, a friend, an amazing WOMAN!

You fixed many a boo boos, shed many tears, helped many people and touched my life with your love, inspiration, and helping hands. I will remember all the time we spent together, you have enriched my life.

I will never forget all the time spent working on your kitchen table helping you with jewelry when I came for a visit from Canada. These are part of the memories I cherish most. From all the letters back and forth, and visits when I could make it up to see you and uncle Bob.

I feel very blessed to have you as my godmother, I only wish that we could have had more time together, but many miles separated us.

After hearing about your passing, I was on my way home from Mom & Dad's and I came upon the most amazing RAINBOW I had ever seen, the colors were so intense, vibrant and it was a complete rainbow...to my surprise I noticed it was a double rainbow, the second one a little fainter, but right there next to the vibrant one... I thought immediately of you and Uncle Bob.

When I look up into the sky I imagine you looking down on me, watching and protecting me. I will always love and miss you, your goddaughter Diane XOXOXOXOXOX

my dearest Aunt Rose,
Many memories of your kindest words of wisdom, expressions of love, and you ll be forever in my heart. Always when we came for a visit from canada. You always had greeted us and of course the shot of Johnnie walker red. There always seemed to be one of them half gallons around. It was great to have a shot when we visited. There is alot of memories. My fondest is when you all came down for my and dianes gratuation. Imagine them all driving 500 plus miles to attend our graduation in 1988.
We had lots of laughes and cried sometimes.
Dad use to tell lots of stories as well. When he was young his mother passed away. Aunt Rose took him under her wing and was there to help him when needed. For her family was everything. She took time out of her busy life to spend time with Dad. We will always be indebited to you for that compassion. We enjoyed the fun we had and the times spent together even though most times was a week here and there. Uncle Bob was the greatest man I know. Imagine at the age of 72 years coming to canada and going atving in a moose bog. Also digging cohogs in cape cod was a weekend gettaway.
These are memories that will never be forgotten.
I will always cherish the fun , laughter and will never forget the jewelry making. Its written in stone.

To Richard and Diane and Family, words can never be enough to show our support for your tremendous loss. She was and always be a great woman in our hearts. Love has no boundries. I am honored to have known her. As to me she was the grandmother we never had.
My deepest sympathies in your time of great Loss.

Aunt Rose,

I close my eyes as I wipe a tear.
I just keep wishing you were still here.
I will hold all the memories deep in my heart.
Through these memories will never part.

I close my eyes as I wipe a tear.
I just keep wishing this pain would disappear.
I didn’t get the chance to say my last good-bye.
I just didn’t think you could ever die.

I close my eyes as I wipe a tear.
All of your love I will always hold near.
In my heart and my mind I will never be alone.
When my time comes......
I will meet you in heaven!
I Love and Miss you Aunt Rose!
